What are friends for?

I knew friends had to be good for something other than references for applications. Now I know. It turns out they may actually extend your life. Surprisingly, close relationships with friends have an even more bigger impact on your lifespan than close ties with family. The reason for this is that friends may influence health habits or significantly effect your emotional well-being.
